There are different products on the market to ensure that menstruation happens stainless. In addition to the comparatively new menstrual cup, most women by far use either tampons or sanitary towels during their period. More than 70% of all women use sanitary napkins at least occasionally. Nonetheless, one of the main questions about sanitary towels is about the good fit in the underpants. If the pads slip while wearing, it rarely feels pleasant. The fit can only be corrected by going to the toilet. In addition, badly fitting sanitary napkins can leave stains of blood on the underwear, if the pad can no longer absorb it properly.
In principle, all panty liners and sanitary towels today have an adhesive strip on the underside. This fixes the sanitary pad on the fabric of the underpants while it is worn. Many products also have side wings. These are also provided with adhesive strips. They are folded down when inserted so that the pad gets an additional hold on the underside of the slip. This usually improves the fit. After all, you move just as much during menstruation as you normally do.
Alternatively, you can use sustainable cloth pads during your period. The washable pads are reusable and you can get through your period with a limited number of pads. Since several years there is a large selection of models in different shapes and strengths, so that the model can be easily adapted to the strength of the bleeding.
Since cloth pads work without adhesive strips due to the material, almost all models are provided with side wings. These can also be folded down and clipped under the slip with a sewn-on press stud. On this spot you don't feel the small button and the cloth sanitary towels don't let you feel any differences in their fits from the single-use products when they are worn. The press button holds, unlike adhesive strips, even better.
A little tip at the end, whether you choose the fastening with adhesive strips or press studs: you should wear suitable underwear if you want your pad really stay in place. Although there are very narrow pads for thongs, you should opt for classically shaped briefs for a more comfortable and natural wearing experience.
